Our mission is to get people together to take risks, experiment and support one another through success.
The Revelstoke economy has traditionally been centred around the tourism, transportation and timber industries, but as increasing numbers of people trade the stress of city life for the mountain lifestyle, the town’s vibrant co-working community continues to grow, and is now home to dozens of freelancers and remote tech workers.
StartUp Revelstoke was formed in 2017 to nurture a startup ecosystem that supports the diversification and growth of the economy. With funding from Community Futures Revelstoke, the organization is overseen by a committee of local business leaders and employs two part-time staff.

A self described “jobler”, Carolyn has pieced together an entrepreneurial life that ranges from running a small B&B, teaching leadership and business skills through the Continuing Studies department at Okanagan College and a variety of courses in the Tourism Management Diploma program at the Revelstoke campus, advising on the Queens MBA & the Masters in Management Innovation and Entrepreneurship programs and using her small consulting company to help organizations with their training and development needs. She has now added StartUp Coach to her “jobler” roles and is looking forward to helping people from their idea stage through to the business concept development.
